RESERVING A DATE FOR VISIT:

• Send $300 donation per person per week to the following address at least four weeks prior to your departure date. This will cover lodging, island transportation and 2 meals per day.

HAITI VISIT

TRAVEL AND MONEY:

• Make and pay your own airline reservations into Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
• The mission will provide transportation form the airport and while on the island.
• Bring $30 per person cash for departure tax when leaving Haiti.
• Cash for souvenirs and other personal items is more dependable than credit cards or traveler's checks.

SHOTS AND PASSPORTS:

• A passport is needed - plan on 4 to 6 weeks to obtain one from the time you apply.
• Updated tetanus shot is recommended.
• No other shots are required to enter the country; however, your doctor may recommend additional preventative treatments or vaccinations.

WHAT TO PACK:

• The airlines allow two 50-pound bags per person, and 1 carry-on. We suggest you use one suitcase for your own clothes and personal items, and use the other to bring ministry supplies.

FOR YOUR PERSONAL COMFORT:

• Personal water bottle/drinking cup to carry with you
• Belt pack and/or backpack
• Anti-bacterial hand wipes and personal toiletries
• Sunscreen & insect repellant
• Flashlight, extra batteries and/or taper candles and lighter (electricity is not always available.)
